Happy New Year! Welcome, 2026.
Before talk about my word for this new year, I want to pause and reflect on Thrive… 2025.
This past year wasn’t about big, flashy wins. It was about quiet, meaningful growth.
I became healthier… not just physically, but emotionally and mentally. I learned to care for my body, my energy, and my boundaries with more intention and less guilt.
I went back to school, which stretched me in new ways and reminded me that learning doesn’t stop just because life is full. It required discipline, humility, and a willingness to go back to novice.
I traveled a bit, creating space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect… with people I love and with myself.
I became more intentional in caring for others, and more honest about when I needed rest or support. I worried less about what people thought and trusted my own voice a little more.
And yes… there were snails 🐌 A small reminder that thriving looks like tending tiny lives and finding wonder in unexpected places.
Thrive 2025 taught me that growth doesn’t always feel dramatic. For me it was often quiet…steady…grounding.
For 2026, my word is ATTUNE.
With school in the mix, I know this year will require balance and intention… staying in tune with family, friends, God, work, and learning, all at the same time. I already know it will be stretching and a juggle, and I also know I don’t want to rush through it on autopilot.
Attuning, to me, means paying attention on purpose.
Listening instead of assuming.
Asking questions with less fear.
And learning how to stay fully present without self-abandonment… trusting myself to know when to engage deeply and when to pause and restore.
This year, I’m choosing to be intentional about staying connected… to what matters most and to the people I love, while also honoring the rhythms and limits that allow me to show up with grace.
Here’s to a year of presence, growth, and staying grounded through it all. YIKES! I’d better buckle up!!
I love you, pass it on.
