Phone rings…

Mom: Hello?

Caller: Hi, I’m looking to speak with Stanley Wildes.

Me, quietly from across the room: “Good luck…”

But Mom didn’t just answer the question… she took the conversation straight to eternity.

Mom: Well… if you’ve accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you can talk to him someday when you get to Heaven, because that’s where he is.

Caller: …

Mom: Anything else I can help you with?

Caller: No, I’m sorry…

Mom: Goodbye!

Me: Absolutely losing laughing….

Mom hangs up and says, well, what would you have said…”idk…offer a seonce?!!”

I am sure the guy was expecting, “I’m sorry, he’s unavailable.”

Instead he got a salvation plan, an afterlife update, and a theological explanation of Stanley’s current whereabouts.
